Texans 4-3 defense?

Monday, March 9th, 2009

I’m anxious to see if we can’t get more pressure on the quarterback this year continuing with the 4-3 defensive front. With four good down linemen and picking up some strength in the outside linebacker position; I’m going to vote that this is the right defense to stay with.  My opinion with a power horse like Mario Williams who is still young and growing into his role for the defense, the Texans need to find ways to better utilize him. Possibly consider moving him as a dual side defensive end and get him comfortable going in as a right or left side threat.  If we can get him the support in layer two of the defense then the Texan’s defense is going to be a force to be reconded with. Not to mention giving the defense some additional schemes to go off of. If the Texans can keep everyone healthy this season defensively, then I think the adjustments being made this offseason and depending on who is picked up in the Draft will make a world of difference compared to last season.   We’re soon to find out.

We all knew it was only a matter of time until a team signed the problem child Owens.  Maybe this is good news for the Texans in that T.O. might team up with Marshawn Lynch in tearing apart any chances the Bills have of being a suprise playoff team this year.  You can’t argue their talent, but both have had several off the field and locker room incidents that have caused tension on their respective teams.  I for one can’t wait to make the trip up to Buffalo this year and see if the Texans can beat up on crybaby T.O.  and the Bills on their way to their first playoff game!

And dont forget…COWBOYS SUCK!!!!!
